Redline Communications Inc., a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, and Siemens with Home and Office Communication Devices, have decided to conduct private testing to verify interoperability between Redline and Siemens WiMAX Forum Certified™ products. The testing is part of the Redline Ecosystem Verification™ (‘REV’) program designed to accelerate the deployment of interoperable WiMAX networks.

The REV interoperability testing confirms that carriers can incorporate Redline’s RedMAX™ and Siemens WiMAX modem Gigaset SE471 and the outdoor modem Siemens 2010 in their WiMAX networks. The REV program augments the testing for WiMAX Forum Certification, verifying that carriers can achieve connectivity between Redline infrastructure and Siemens devices in their network and manage the devices.

The Redline Ecosystem Verification program verifies connectivity and performance between Redline’s RedMAX and RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products and other WiMAX devices, enabling carriers to accelerating the deployment interoperable networks. The program also includes Redline’s RedCONNEX family, which is used by carriers around the world to support high-bandwidth voice, video and data services. Several WiMAX equipment companies including base station, customer premise equipment and chip manufacturers, as well as WiMAX peripherals vendors, are now taking part in the REV program.

The date of the tender on the sale of WiMAX frequencies has been announced.

The Head of the National Commission for Regulation of Communications (NCRC) Vladimir Zverev informed that on June, 18 the tender on the sale of three national licenses on application of radio frequency resource in the range of 5,47-5,59 GHz would be conducted. This radio frequency resource will be used for providing services of broadband Internet access on WIMAX technology. According to Mr. Zverev’s speech, 14 telecommunication companies, including the largest mobile operators, will take part in this tender.

25th International scientific-practical conference “Commercial metering of energy resources”

On 22 -24 of May, 2007 in Saint-Petersburg the 25th International scientific-practical conference “Commercial metering of energy resources” took place.

The conference, founded 13 years ago, continues long-term tradition of discussion of normative documents and methodical questions on energy-saving and metering of energy resources, modern devices of metering and control, experience of introduction of instrumental metering and control of energy resources, methods of analysis of results of measurings at commercial metering, methods of increase of accuracy and validity of metering, problems of organization of metering of energy resources in the budgetary and municipal fields.

Redline (WiMAX) Wins in Greece

Redline Communications Inc., a provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that OTE S.A. the largest telecommunications provider in Greece, has chosen Redline's RedMAX™ family of WiMAX Forum Certified™ products for two of its three pilot WiMAX deployments in Greece. The RedMAX products will be deployed in Athens and the surrounding Attica regions as part of the pilot phase of OTE's planned nationwide WiMAX deployment.

Marac Electronics S.A., Redline's Certified Partner in Greece, will install the WiMAX Forum Certified RedMAX equipment to establish the WiMAX networks in both the dense urban Athens location and the suburban and rural Attica region.
